Opinion of this 1936 US-Phil Roosevelt Commem Peso

not my pics, not my coin. I wish I owned one of these, don't know if I want this one, wish I could see it in hand of course. see anything you like or dislike about this?

  • thanks lordmarcovan. I'm just so new still, and unsure of myself and grading. I've only recently gotten over "bright white shiny" syndrome, still prefer that, but now know "original" bright white shiny is the way to go, thanks CU Forums, you're right.

    Maybe I should say what I think so you guys can laugh. IMHO, I really like this coin, the minimal toning isn't distracting to me and quite understandable given a 1936 US Phil and I think helps an original surfaces undipped claim. The strike looks great to me, from the handful I've seen pics of, and I don't mind the handful of hits on the obverse for an MS65. My biggest unknown is whether the reverse is all hazy in the fields or if that's just the picture or why it appears that way, I just don't know if that's 'good' or 'bad'.

    I think it's a beauty!!!!! The haze on the reverse just looks like minor luster breaks to me. Nice coin.

    I really like this issue... This was graded 64 by ANACS. Sorry but I will buy these that look like this all day long at 64
