Kiefer Sutherland Pitched a Gem Today

image

His only blunders to flaw his game were a Homer to Matsui and he couldn't quite find first base on one ocassion.

Did you happen to catch Robby Cano's over the shoulder run saving gem?

So the yankees win a game out of 4 from a good team, and here comes good ole spammy.

Tell me spammy, how many threads are we going to be subjected to tonight?

edit: a team full of $200 million payroll, and a rookie is your biggest bright spot? Sad, sad, sad.

Damn right he is. That is how they did it in 1996 by developing stars from within. There was no better judge than young talent than Gene Michael. Too bad Steinbrenner went another direction. I didn't tell Steinbrenner to go out and blow $200 Million on aging stars. Oh I forgot I am not supposed to converse with a Junior High Schooler.

I mean, do you sometimes read what you write? I know you edit your messages... Actually most of them.. But please, at least get the termonology straight.
So basically my kid won't be able to go to college, but at least I'll have a set where the three most expensive cards are of a player I despise ~ CDsNuts

You mean too bad queen george went in the direction he ALWAYS has?

You didn't tell him to spend $200 million, but you sure have no problem embracing it (your farmer signature line? remember it? or too long ago for you?)

    And 'farmless farm system'? Huh?

I'll say this again, since you obviously don't get it: IF HE'S PLAYING IN THE MAJORS, HE'S NOT IN THE FARM SYSTEM.

I would rather the Yankees keep their young talent but as long as Steinbrenner plays within the rules I am not going to stop rooting for the team I have been rooting for since 1969 if he goes out and spends a bundle. I think a Salary Cap would be good for the game but I obvioulsy have no say in changing it. At least Steinbrenner has invested in his home grown stars such as Jeter, Mo Rivera, Posada, Bernie, and Cano. I wish they had kept Pettite. Did you happen to catch the Los Angelos Angels of Anaheim of California of the USA of the Planet Earth of the Universe's attendance for the 4 game series with the Yankees? An all time record for the Angels. The Yankees continue to draw on the road in droves.

Does your Junior High School offer a class in Logic 101?

Why, do you feel the need to understand that if a player is playing in the majors, he isn't in the farm system?

  • Gemmy10Gemmy10 Posts: 2,990
OK, I will spell it out plain and simple for you. Several people including you think the Yankees have nothing/nada in their farm system. Lo and behold they pull out one 2nd Baseman named Cano who is rivalring Jeter's Rookie year, and another, Pitcher Chien-Ming Wang who is was having a very good year before he got injured. Either other teams' scouts are stupid or the Yankees are doing a great job at downplaying the talent of these guys. I am sure there are more in their Farmless Farm System.

Axtey, simple enough for you to understand? I doubt it.

WinPitcher, I though you were a Mets fan?

actually gemmy i am a baseball fan. as a kid i was a mets fan though. I like all the teams. i said yanks rock cuz they do.

last yr I rooted for the redsox (of all teams) way before they even won the wildcard. I just sorta followed them last season. this yr i haven't been following any one team. i do like the nationals and white sox in the WS though

if 2 other teams make it thats fine with me too.

    steve

ps I like farmless better too.
    Good for you.
