Typical turnaround times

I have noticed that recently it mattered little if I sent cards in on 10 or 15 day turnarounds as to how fast I would receive my grades. I also recall seeing several post about fast turnarounds. Has anyone received really fast turnarounds on say bulk 45 day orders? If so do any factors such as time of month, type of cards, or anything else seem to factor in. I am thinking of sending in bulk order to save some dough but really do not want to wait 45 days. I know most likely I would be waiting the 9 weeks but just wanted to look into it. Any help is much appreciated.

I noticed that too. I wonder if it has anything to do with summer? many guys are off doing other stuff and submissions slo down? just a wild guess on my part.

I had two 45 day orders in a row both turned around in 3 days. But my 5 day submission I sent in the same time (received & checked in the same day as the 45 day sub) took the full 5 days. Was very strange to get my 45 day sub grades back before my 5 day. I was happy as could be though! In fact, I sent in one of my freebie gradings from my 75% complete set reg and that was back to me in a day. That was in June BTW.

I've got another 110 cards sitting here, ranging from 1954-2000, would love to send them all in on one sub but I need a $5/45 day (any card) special to have that happen.

That is amazing. Anything in particular you think might have contributed to the fast turnaround on the 2-45 day submissions? I would really like to save $400 on my submission. It is very tempting to take the chance.

I've noticed some very quick turn around times as of late too. I've submitted cards to PSA for the past 3 years or so and still can't make out how things might turn out. Sometimes it takes them 2 or 3 days for a submission and other times 3 or 4 weeks for a similar one.

I've submitted 4 lots of vintage cards (45 to 50) cards this year and it's taken 3 to 4 weeks for the first 3 submissions. I'm starting week 4 for my lastest one.

I've also taken advantage of some of their specials and gotten the cards back in a week. I'm currently awaiting word for my latest monthly special submission. It was logged in on 7/6, so it's hard to guess how long it will take.

I've never had a problem with PSA taking longer than the level I've submitted the cards either. If I get the cards back earlier, I view it as a bonus.

Another new guy here. I realize that you asked about large submissions but I recently sent in a 15 card order on a 35 day/$8 per card and the grades posted in 3 business days which is quicker than any special I have submitted cards under.

Many people have had alot of luck with quick turnarounds lately, but not me. A submission I got back on 6/10 was received on 5/16. I have another submission in since 7/13 (technically 7/1 because it sat in PSA's receiving dept. for 12 days doing nothing) and still no end in sight. It is truly potluck, and PSA admits this themselves. I have a one card submission in since 7/13 and it still hasn't been entered into receiving status. The message I get is that further processing is pending. That has been the case for two weeks now. it is great when you get your cards graded right away, but very frustrating when it doesn't and you see others around you with later sub. dates getting their stuff back already.

My typical turnaround times have usually been less than one week and just about all I send in are the bulk 45 day orders. I have been very impressed.

This has been the typical turnaround for vintage common bulk for me. Great job as far as I'm concerned considering they have 45 business days at this level. Between 20 and 25 business days. I used to submit Silver Age comics with CGC and it would normally take in excess of 3 months. Really, three months for 10 or 20 comics to be graded.
