If you want a graded card, I'd suspect not buying raw on ebay/internet is the way to go.

How someone can get beef for selling raw cards is beyond me. It seems that 1bnerd guy was simply looking to start a fight.

Raw cards (espcially vintage) will sell for more than one graded 5 or 6 typically. It does so because of greedy card owners looking to make a quick buck by getting the card graded and then selling it.

When that plan backfires, suddenly the guy who did the same exact thing is a bad guy?

    Ax-

There was a thread about this seller buying PSA 5's, cracking them and reselling them as NM. There was a debate whether this is ethical ot not.

I know....I remember it. And i said the same thing there.

For a scam to work, there has to be 2 people trying to scam the other.

Buyers who buy into scams are trying to get over on the seller as much as vice versa.
