Not quite as funny as the Yogi Berra / Berk Ross thread, but close . . .

Suprisingly, no bids on this one: 1956 Mantle

>>The card is about 50 years old. Next year it will be exactly 50 years old.<<

Yep, I guess it's about 50 years old if next year it will be exactly 50 years old.

Be sure to read the full answer to the question that was sent to him.

What are the lines running across the card and what makes this card so rare? I can't tell from the picture. Let me know. Thanks, Mike Jul-22-05
A: What makes this card so rare is that you can go anywhere and somebody will want your card because my dad bought this card 50 years ago and when we go to card shops in Mississippi nobody will buy it because they know they can't afford it. Everybody else have vintige cards and they are not worth anything because it is just a cartoon card. When you get this card you could find the right person and they will want it for thousand of dollars. I advise you not to let this card get out of your hands

<<< This is a very rare Mickey Mantle Baseball Card. This card is no remake of any sort. I could sell this card for thousands of dollars. One friend said that this card could be my retirement. >>>

This is hilarious. Where does he think he's going to retire to with $500? Cambodia? - LOL

Or, perhaps it's the high quality scan that accompanies this ticket to retirement bliss...

Bahahaha! What a discription! The only thing he left out was. 'The winner of this card can use it to get through the gates of heaven'

<< <i>This is a very rare Mickey Mantle Baseball Card. This card is no remake of any sort. I could sell this card for thousands of dollars. One friend said that this card could be my retirement. I said maybe or maybe not. The card is about 50 years old. Next year it will be exactly 50 years old. The card is in good condition. I never take the card out of the plastic for protection and because it is so valuable. The manufacturer is topps. The card number is 156. It was issued in the year 1956. Don't let this buy get away from you it could be life changing. >>
