o/c ?????????

Does this look like a card that deserved the dreaded o/c ? I would like some thoughts about cracking and resubmiting.

Thanks,
Scott

Yes for a 9. It might get a straight 8.
  • Looks 68/32 T/B at the worst point. I think it would get a straight 7 considering the tilt, and the L/R centering being off too... so leave it as a 9OC.

I agree with Brian. Scott 9 oc for a 53 yr old card is a wonder to behold. One day people are going to finally see that a nice 9 oc is not a bad thing. In reality they are way under valued. I would be more concerned if the card had the stain on the back. does it?

    Good for you.
  • Steve,

No, the back is clean. I picked it up for 30.00 with the hope's of cracking and getting a straight 8 at the worst. Since i am so close to completing and the few a need are getting difficult at this point i thought i would start upgrading a few to keep myself busy.

Scott. That particular card may have a shot at getting a straight 8 grade. That is the dilemna you face. I hear though that PSA has been very harsh on cards from this era. I would leave it as it is.

No stain too! damn what a sweet card. and for 30.00 what a bargain!!

    Good for you.
  • Hell, it's only $30 right? I think it has a 90% chance of finding its way into a straight 8 holder. I would take a shot personally...

  • Tough break...

In terms of registry point values, an 8 is a point higher than a 9 oc right?

Makes a 9o/c more appealing... I had a sweet maravich rc that was an 8o/c - centered 70/30ish... didn't look bad at all... it's a shame I ebayed it for a mere $78...
