1984 Topps BB-Box Bust

I was just looking through the closet and found an unopened 1984 topps baseball wax box. I am going to bust it tonight and will post the results this weekend.

I wish I had boxes of unopened material that I didn't know about laying around my house! Good luck with the box!

Half way through the box and got a boggs, henderson, a few leader cards,highlight cards and all-star cards. There are a lot of nice centered cards in the box. Back to the box. Will report more later.

Well, I went through the entire box.
I got 2 Strawberry rookies. One is very nice and centered 9/10, the other is nice but o/c. A Schimdt and Carew.
A very nice Brett,9/10 range. The boggs 9/10, henderson, a few leader cards,highlight cards and all-star cards that I mentioned earlier. No Ripken,Gywnn or Ryan. The cards were very sharp and overall nicely centered. I am happy with the box. I got the first Strawberry about 20 packs into the box. Two packs later I got the other Strawberry. Talk about the exact print run. I though I was going to get the second Strawberry after I saw the first few cards in the pack.

I'll go through the box again to pull out the sweet cards and eventually grade them.

I also have a couple of boxes and a rack case in the closet with other wax - but have no desire to open it.

No Mattingly. Wax boxes are going for about $35-45. Cheap entertainment. I can't remember what I paid. I think I bought the box 5 years ago.

I don't remember either. With wax, unless vintage, it's better no remembering.

I haven't tried it yet, although I kept it. Maybe tonight. The gum doesn't smell.
