Hey Ya'll
Here is a silver'd antoninianus? From the emperorship of Trajan-Decius. His fame was curtailed due to the fact he and his legions were wiped out by barbarians. This coin is about 27mm in diameter and weighs about the same as a quarter.

I would think it more likely to be an antoninianus, which were struck in silvered bronze or debased silver.

Well Hi-De-Ho, your right on. When I bought this baby it was listed as Trajan-Decius by the seller. I can't recall who they were but had excellent feedback and had a strange roman name, like Claudius Britanicus or something like that.
But, then again check this out. It is indeed confusing for sure...

At first glance I thought it was a Philip II but the legend has Trajan-Decius.
You should start an Emperor Portrait collection - I'll post my 'Checklist' that I have been working on.
