Larry Brown: Weasel?

I was listening to an inteview with him today, and it really sounds like he was depressed that the Pistons fired him. I can't help but think that he thought his courting Cleveland and NY would make Detroit offer him a bigger, better contract and they called his bluff and cut him.
And now he may be the one without a chair as the coaching positions continue to get filled up. Detroit fans get Flip Saunders...great move on their part. And I am glad a team finally stood up to Brown and basically told him to get lost.

Yes, both of you but at least Brown is like Billy Martin...he makes winners out of horse manure.
You can be a genius of a coach, but with no talent, you aren't going anywhere.
Flip Saunders and the Pistons came out beautifully in this. I suspect you'll see the Pistons in the conference championship again this year.
Who knows how well they can play when they don't have a prima donna coach vying for headlines over his team?
Cracks me up also that people think he'll wave his magic wand and turn the Knicks into winners. Ha! Don't bet on it!
<< <i>Here he was, the highest paid coach, taking his team to the finals, and he has to talk with other teams about other jobs. I'm glad he's gone. He was too big a distraction.

Past success isn't an indicator of future performace. I share your opinion he will not do anything with the Knicks in the next couple of years...after which, he will again grow tired of his job and move on, leaving the knicks in the same position as they are in now.
Isiah Thomas should know better, but looking at his moves since taking over as president, it's obvious he doesn't have the skills to run a team.
You'd have thought Brown would have been happy in Detroit. The town embraced him because they made the team a winner again, he had a solid team, and there's no reason to think they won't be contending for the Eastern crown for the next several years.
But somehow he's not content and has to become the main story. How does a player play for a coach who doesn't want to be there? Who's interviewing for other jobs while he's still coaching?
I once held respect for Larry Brown. Now it's obvious he's no longer about being a good coach as it is about being a drama king and being the story.
edited to add: I also think there is an argument that the Pistons may have won had all the bs not leaked during the series
