Money Order Question

I have a buyer who has stated that he mailed a mail order to me on 7/12/05 which I have yet to receive. What suggestions does anyone have on how to proceed with this. Thanks for your help.

If you dont receive it, its his problem. He has to contact the funding agency to get his refund back. He has to resend payment to you. He is still obligated to complete the transaction. Just a note, it does sound fishy, check his feedback to see if he has any non paying or slow paying feedback.

1967and 1973 Topps baseball wantlists (any condition) welcome. Once had the #14 ATF 1967 set. Yet another collector like skylaneflyer, gimel1 who made it to the completion of 1967 only to need the money more than the company of 609 close friends.

I just had a buyer do that to me when I filed a NPB report. He had never responded to three invoices and an equal number of emails. When I filed the NPB, finally he replied with an email full of obscenities and abuse, claiming he sent an MO two weeks ago and I was trying to scam him. (The auction had only ended 11 days ago at that point, so he must have had a vision that he was going to win and what the amount would be). He also said he bought the MO at a convenience store and tossed out the receipt stub, so had no proof.

Anyway, I replied that if he didn't want to complete the purchase, there didn't have to be hard feelings and negative feedback. We could mutually agree to cancel the transaction, I would get my fees back, and I would relist the card. Alternatively, he could PayPal the money and I would send the card right out with a promise that if I ever received a check or MO that had been delayed in the mail, I would send it back to him. I also suggested that if he bought the MO but forgot to mail it, he could cash it at the place he bought it.

He hasn't responded, hardly a surprise.

Did your remorseful buyer have "tycoon" as part of his eBay ID? Mine did.
  • u could tell the buyer that if he got it at the post office they can run a trace on the m/o number ( i believe it is around $5) and they can tell if it was cashed or not - if it isnt then he can cancel it (if he still has the orig recipt) and get a new one and re-send it to u
