PSA error, what to do?

This is a first for me with over 1000 cards submitted. What do you do about an error?



Also, will they automatically give it the same grade and just change the flip and re-seal?

Call customer service, then you get to pay the postage to send it in. They correct it and reholder with the same grade (unless 2 cards got switched or the card gets bent in the process) then they send it back. No charge, other than 1 way shipping.
Is the card worth sending back? Might be better off to just overlook the error.

i just reported a PSA flip error on an auction i saw for a Rickey Henderson card labelled as an "AUTOGRAPH".. i contacted customer service and by the time they responded, the auction was over.. the card is clearly not the autographed version.. but PSA let me know they cant do anything about it unless the guy who bought it sends it back in to PSA for re-holdering..

so... the cert # still shows up as an autograph.. heh.. they cant do anything about that..

Zef, you can send it back with your next submission. That's what I did with one and it worked fine. Make sure you put it on its own submission form and label it as a "Mechanical Error".

I would imagine they would just relabel it. I sent in a 10 and got a 10 back. I doubt they looked at it.

From a cost perspective it may not be worth sending it in to be corrected, but some mechanical errors prevent cards from being entered into the Set Registry. I have 2 such screwups (one is a transposed card #, one is an incorrect spelling), and neither can be entered into the Set Registry.
