Hit 75% today on Carew Regular Set

Once i get the cards back from PSA ( 575834 zip 98684) my Master Set will be over 75%. I have almost all of the disc cards being graded and a few that aren't even listed yet.

Carew Basic Set

Carew Master Set

I also have about 20 cards that are not listed in between his playing years for the Master Set. My understanding is PSA is just finishing up with the month of March for cards not listed. I will assume that it will be a while longer to add.

    Congrats brotha!

I know that it's tough to get those single player sets finished with a lot of the oddball and multiple cards out there. At least Carew didn't have the current day problem with like 1,500 cards for a 10 year career. Sheesh...

I was hoping to complete the Master Set this year. But do to one Disc being so rare it may not happen. But it is definitely the challenge to find it. And that Disc would be the Rod Carew Red Barn Disc. Carew4me has the only graded one i know of and not one of this card has come up on ebay in the last 5 years. So if anybody is sitting on this card LMK. I thought the Thom McAn Jox Disc was tough to find. That find took me 4 years to come across.

    Hi Marc...

    Congats on your 75% completion.

The RED BARN discs are very hard to find. I have a Nolan Ryan. I have only seen 3 or 4 other players in the 12 years I've been collecting. I have never seen a Ryan other than the one I have and I have never seen a Carew.

I have owned 2 Tony Perez Red Barns, down to one but have not seen any for about a year. Good luck on the pursuit.

Thanks for rubbing my salt wound "carew4me". Just kidding. That's O.K. I have a couple of my own 1/1 cards that will be on the Carew Master Set with no others being graded.image One will be the 1985 Jox Thom Mcan Disc which i hope comes back at least a 9. It is at PSA right now. Should be getting my grades in the next week or so.
