Most Worthless Graded Card?

What is the most worthless card you have ever seen for sale that was graded, something along the lines of some 2005 common that got graded a like a 5, 6 or 7 that is basically worth a penny, but someone decided to get it graded.

A sportflics getting a 5, that card is made out of plastic and could not be kept in good shape.

  • Any card I send in? I seem to think the cards I send off are 8's+ and I get quite a few 5-6's back. Maybe I need to get my vision checked image.

    Good for you.

Scott the Joss is a reprint.

    Steve

how is the Bowman set coming along?
    Good for you.

  • << <i>The Joss is a little off topic....no? >>

How so? The topic is worthless cards in holders.

As of right now, the Joss is the most worthless graded card that has been posted. The cracked sportsflics card and the beat up 82 Brett card are both more valuable.
  • Steve,

Duh.......... I'm at about 95% and have a line on most of what i need. I will shoot for the end of july or aug. to be complete than i was thinking about going back to T206's for awhile. Unfortunatly that will last about as long as it did last time which was 3 months before the $'s got out of control.
My fallback will be the 53 Bowman color and 38 Goudey I figure there both fairly short runs and the Bowmans are still plentiful. The heads up........well we all need a challange.

What are you working on ? Have you been upgrading your 52's ?

Been working on the 65 topps (I'm at 90 percent) and mars attacks.

I have not worked on the bowman set since I picked up the werle with the w half missing.

I do though bring it out from time to time and gaze at it. It would prolly grade out in the 5's It was built back in the day.

I'll give you $.50 for these image
  • Please tell me people send this junk in for their FREE grades, and don't actually pay for the grading!!

Here's one....and with only $4 shipping! I wouldn't pay $4 shipping if the card was free.

I don't have the scan any more, but in my first ever PSA submission I was so focused on corners that I neglected to notice two pin holes in a 1972-73 Maravich. It got a "1" of course.

So if that Csonka has a population of 2 does that make it worth more?image

Not necessarily worthless but I should have sold it raw instead of getting it graded. Oh well, I'll chalk it up to experience. image

As long as you didn't call it "NM-MT" in the auction, the way many people would!

What made that Ripken a 5?
  • There's a small crease just below the "n" and the "J" in his facsimile signature. Sucks but it's my own fault for not seeing it before I submitted it. This was from my second submission and I wasn't all that versed on what to look for at the time. image

A crease and it got a 5? You lucked out. I would have given it a VG-EX at the max!

Correction. I should have said a surface wrinkle. It's barely detectable to the naked eye. Crease may be too harsh a word. image

Even still, I thought the surface wrinkles warranted a VG-EX 4. So, are you saying that if the rest of the card is basically perfect, and it has a tiny surface wrinkle, then it can get a 5?

Very unlikely. I, like most people I know, prefer a fine Cuban over a Largent fan.

It took me 15 minutes to find out why this otherwise spectacular card was graded a PSA 5. The smallest wrinkle I have seen on a card yet, so small that I'm not sure its a wrinkle ..... BUT the only thing I found! Now its a coaster.

Edited to say that the squiggly line on Tom's forhead is a piece of DUST !!!

I've got a lot of graded 1988 Topps Stickercards that have to be pretty darn worthless
I am actively buying MIKE SCHMIDT gem mint baseball cards. Also looking for any 19th century cabinets of Philadephia Nationals. Please PM with additional details.
