1967 MS68 Roosie pop goes from (2) to (11)!?

So...Who made these beauties!!!??? Actually when were they made is my question and were they all on the same submission?

If they were, that is awsome! Very difficult to make a 65-67 in high MS w/o being a SMS victim.

Later, Paul.

Not one FB was made in the group. No pop increase in FB for 1967. If this series had more interest
prices would really take off. I believe Clad FB Roosies will have there day, it will just be a long time
from now. Give them 10 years or when the design changes. With PC's stricter standards for grade
and FB I would bet you're not going to see the pops rise at any dramatic rate. In fact as soon as
what inventory is out there gets sold you will rarely see any of the difficult FB dates up for sale.

I guess this is an answer to Paul's question on an other thread about the clad Roosie's future.
If only 10 collectors wanted to build a complete FB clad set prices would go through the roof for
many of the dates. There just not available.
  • When the popularity goes up the grading standards will go down.

Great replies guys, but the question still remains as to who, when, where, why, and how!

Paul, I guess I'm just not that impressed with the results of this submission.
Show me a nice group of MS66FB and MS67FB and you will get my attention.

There are lots of folders and albums for Roosy dimes being sold. These are available
at Borders and larger bookstores as well as coin shops and over the net. Eventually
the mint will wake up and realize every one that goes into these folders means they
get to make one to replace it and they'll be selling them too. The next generation of
collectors is already collecting these coins. Whether or not they ever want to upgrade
or not remains to be seen but as we all know the finest specimens are tough and will
not get any easier in the future. Indeed, with vastly increased competition they could
    appear to get far scarcer.

These coins are especially great for younger collectors with stronger eyes and plenty
of energy to chase them down. They constitute an interesting set in any grade and
contain some of the scarcest of 20th century dimes so they can be collected on almost
    any budget too.
    Tempus fugit.
  • I am inclined to think that these are mislabeled SMS coins.
