Capped bust halves on display at the ANA

I plan to bring about 15 of my Registry bust halves to SF for the ANA. They grade from MS62 to 67, are original toned, and will be at the Pinnacle Rarities table starting Wednesday.

Also included will be several NGC graded halves in various grades for comparison. There appears to be a distinct grading philosophy between the 2 major services, and it can be seen with this group.

I will try to be in the area when I can, and will answer questions, and hopefully meet many of this board's members.

    Andy,

Yes, the NGC coins are in the collection. They are more wildly toned, an 1813 in 67 and 1823 patched 3 in 65. Both are pq coins and the holders just tell us they are appreciated a lot more by the NGC graders than PCGS.

I can't wait to check out your Bust Halves. Which coin is your favorite?

I cannot wait to see your Liberty Nickels, and hope you find the last three in MS66. Oh, this is about Bust halves.

    dbldie,

I will try to get the nickels ln shape for FUN 2006' No promises that the set will be sold, but I expect all my MS coins will be there. And there will be some dupes for sale

Seth: The 1823 patched 3 ia a rainbow, and the 1839 Reeded egde a beaut-toned upto the moon.

But the 1818 is a perfect combo of greys, blues and gold.

And the 1813 is a pop 1 none finer NGC 67, with all natural toning.

The one I like best stayed at home with my guard dog. The1794 in NGC 61. (Eliasberg Lot 101.)

    Grip-

Very few of my coins have been purchased at auction, and I am not a photographer.

But one I got at FUN is the 1839 Reeded edge half in PCGS 65. It can be viewed At Bowers auction records Lot 694 in the Pre-Fun sale2005Text
