Not really. He is allowed a bad start now and then. Do you Sox fans ever wonder where your team would be if you got Pavano instead and the Yankees got Clement? The season ain't over yet and maybe Clement will return to mediocracy and Pavano will pitch better. Hope springs eternal.

But, I don't think the Yanks ever wanted Clement. And, thank goodness for that. I know the Sox wanted Pavano, but luckily for us you threw a ton of money at him. The Yanks didn't notice Wade Miller either, instead, they fell over themselves to give obscene contracts to Wright, Pavano, and Johnson. This is already proven to be the undoing of your team, not just this season, but for the next several as well.
denwd1, GREAT news. Thanks.

<< <i>this thread is so very funny. Sox fans, you all really think Matt Clement is as good as he seemed in the first half? >>
And you really think that leiter is going to turn his season around and be the yankees' savior in the second half?
What's not to think Clement wouldn't continue winning games? Just because he's been on bad teams before, doesn't mean the Sox won't support him.
I think those Chicago fans who see him prospering in Boston are simply JEALOUS of the fact that Clement has gone to a team that cares about winning games, while their team and it's owners relish the role of loveable losers...know that they will make money whether or not they put a quality product on the field.
