After an order to TCBulk, I can no longer say that I have a mess. There is some organization to the maddness now. Which I am so thankful.

Three Weeks and 37 boxes later.

I just want to say thanks to all who have helped with all my questions. I appreciate the honesty, and advice.

There were a few (not many) cards that were of different sports baseball, hockey, basketball, etc.

These cards appear to be from the early 90's
I am not sport savy, I am a simple Kansas homemaker. Are there any names in particular to these various sports that should stand out to me.

I also came across these three cards. The first two basketball cards I have heard of him through the news and whatnot. Are these two cards worthy of protecting further and possibly grading. The third is some type of soccer card. The cards are very shiny and you have to hold them at an angle to see what's on them. I came across nine of these shiny cards. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what they call these type of cards and are they special or are they just pretty.

Thanks again for all that you do.
I appreciate it.
Have a Great Weekend.

  • I also said that I would post any intersting Findings I might come across.
These are a few that I have came across.
I will post a few at a time as I go through.
Please give me your opinions and feedback on the quality of the cards. And any suggestions that you might have.
Thanks again for all that you do.

    PS.
My scanner and I are having some serious issues at the moment. It use to scan the colors so great, but I don't know what in the hell has happened. I think the settings have gotten screwed up but I will have to experiment and find out. If you have any suggestions on the scanner color problem I would welcome those as well.

    Hi Dev
I would prefer to be called "Domestic Goddess"! image

On the the cards - top row - 92-3 fleer base brand O'Neal rookie cards - they look in good shape Near mint to mint - perhaps mint - hard to tell by the scan - but if close to mint - book at about 8 bucks? Grading? IMO, no, not worth it - there's probably a zillion of these graded - just check ebay.

    The Roberto card? Clueless.

Well this is the first part

I can't read the "Robinson" that should be below the "Brooks" on that card.

    Does that mean I'm colorblind?

  • Thanks again, Everyone here is so great.

Well I said I was having serious issues with my scanner. Which is a pity when I can get better colors from my web cam than from my scanner. Which I don't know what in the Hell has happened to the darn scanner. Was able to get great colors out of it and all of a sudden i get the above crap. I have a sneaky suspicion that by darling angel boys have tampered with it, and it will probably take me three weeks to figure it out.

    See below example.

I will post a few more if I can get my scanner half way working right.
BTW, I am originally from Atlanta, Georgia. But transplanted to Saint John, Kansas Last year.

  • Here are a few that had banged up corners so I put them in the binder pages.
Also I am still working out some color issues with the scanner.

The scanner and the wife go round and round, round and round, round and round.
The scanner and the wife go round and round, all through the house.

  • I have came across a card today that I really don't know what kind of card it is. I am not sure if it is a regular card, insert, etc. etc.
The back of the card says: 1998 fleer/skybox EX-2001

Could some kind soul please tell me what kind of card it is?
Also it was in this real thick plastic case, (not like the top loaders that i bought) Anyone got any speculations as to why my father-in-law would have put this card in this type of case. I have only found one other card so far that was in the thick plastic case like this and that was the 56 Autographed Bob Feller card.
Did he do it because it was special?

    Thanks for all you help.

PS. The scanner and I are still going round and round. But I am slowly making progress with it. (Wished my darling angel boys would leave my stuff alone imageimage )

  • I think my father-in-law was fond of Nolan Ryan.

A couple have some banged up corners. But at least it is something that I can tell my boys that their grandpa really liked him.
I have found a few of carl Yastremski??????, George Brett, and Tom Seaver. So at least they are a few players that he really liked and I can pass down that legacy to my boys. (Even though they messed up my scanner).
