All lists updated 10 AUG 2019 (last edit was 26 NOV 2010 - wow!)
A dumplist for things I want.. so I don't forget
If you find this and have anything listed PM me!
I currently have a few world coins for sale, listed here. PM me if you see anything that fits your wantlist -- also, anything there may be considered trade material if you have anything listed below.
My ebay ID is numispedia - If I have something for sale there you'll probably see a post in the BST
___ Highest priority ___
World gold type set at or near spot - this is a casual collection, but when the price is right I'll usually bite if it's pre-WWII gold. Looking for Latin Monetary Union pieces and British empire sovereigns and others in the ducat to sovereign size range. Smaller pieces are fun too!
- Venice, 1 centesimo 1849 in UNC.
- San Francisco 1949 restrike of the Mexico 1898 Peso (for use in China)
- A Chersonesos lion hemidrachm - nice eye appeal is more important than grade
- An Achaemenid AR siglos with eye appeal
- Almost any lustrous copper over 100 years old, especially red.
- Almost any hammered (or cast or whatever, "pre-modern") coinage with decent eye-appeal.
___ British penny sized coins: ___
I use these as pocket pieces, and usually wind up giving them away to kids. Seeking any respectably worn (no better than VF!) penny-sized coins at dirt cheap prices.
Update: I think it'll be neat to try for a type set of these. See below for an incomplete checklist. Still looking for dirt cheap, respectably worn pieces.
__ Political commemoratives __
It's a messy "type" set... coins highlighting democracy, revolutions, independence, that sort of thing. Not quite portraits of old guys and anniversaries.. I'm thinking the more interesting stuff. I'll make a checklist in a post below.
___ Everything else: ___
Medieval Sicilian types from the Normans to Hohenstaufens. See list of haves below, seeking affordable types.
___ General Interests ___
World minors, especially kreuzers, especially uniface ones. Or anything tiny.
Venice, in all it's forms: Lombardia-Venetia types in UNC or better, Revolutionary issues, Kingdom of Napoleon, all hammered types and certain medals and notes. Will always have something to trade for these!
More as I think of them
Since I've ventured out into the BST where Lightsiders who might not know me roam, I whipped up a list of references or "good trades" - I'm sure I'm missing quite a few here, and if so that's merely an oversight on my part, but all the below have offered a positive buy/sell/trade experience for me:
1960NYGiants, 1jester, Aethelred, ajaan, ASUtodd, Bailathacl, Bjorn, Blackhawk, ccrdragon, CIVITAS, clarkbar04, CoinAddict, Coincracker, coinnuttius, coinpictures, ColinCMR, CollectorBob, daniilf, DBSTrader2, dcamp78, DCH, DeepSix, Doogy, duki, FilamCoins, HTubbs, Hyperion, IstilllikeZARcoins, JamminJ, jmp3397, koincollect, kyuss, kuhli, laurentyvan, Lloyd, lordmarcovan, mrpaseo, mrpotatoheadd, Musky1011, Muygrandeoso, newsman, NJMark1, ormandh, pendragon1998, RareBronzeCollector, rhound1977, Rickc300, Ricke, robkool, SaorAlba, savoyspecial, Spinynorman, stainless, Stork, Swampboy, SYRACUSIAN, tbirde56, whatsup, wildjag, woodardcoin
And there's always my ebay feedback too, link above.

This is a type set of penny-sized (~30mm) copper/bronze coins in no better than VF+ (respectably worn). I'm snapping up what I can in UNC as well, but for now I'm just interested in junk grades.
Being in a barren land devoid of dealers with darkside junkboxes, I have to resort to asking you guys for help. I'll go for anything that fits the profile, but I'm looking for dirt cheap examples, preferably no more than $2 each (excepting tough ones). The only requirements: that they are legible, not have been cleaned or covered in verdigris and not bent.
This list is based on a quick scan of Krause. Lots of stuff is omitted for time's sake - not because I don't want it though!
