Word on the street is Riley is likely to push Van Gundy out of the way and assume coaching responsibilities next year.

I for one find that incredibly tacky, and it reeks of 'well the Heat are on the verge of winning a championship...Stan get out of the way, I'm here to accept all the accolades for the Heat winning it all!'

I'm not surprised - but you are right, it is a tacky move. Van Gundy did a nice job with the team to this point, and for Riley to step in and take over the team now really isn't necessary. As Wade gets better and better, and if Shaq has one more healthy post-season in him, they are odds on to win the title next season.
