Every time you feel like idolizing that amazing Mariners team, one year removed from losing three of the most dominant players of this era (and the rookie season of the best table setter since Ricky Henderson, Ichiro), feel free to post it here.
Yes the Mariners won 116 games in 2001. Yes they should have gotten to the world series that year.
But for you to sit there and say that the mariners losing that playoff series to the yankees is the biggest choke job in baseball history is pure folly.
I think you should look back to 1995, and remember a certain NY team blow a 2-0 lead to the same Mariners 3 in a row.
It happens...once you learn to accept that the yankees aren't perfect, and bad things happen to the yankees (well the worst thing...the biggest CHOKE IN SPORTS HISTORY!)
