The French did produce some exceptional designs in the 19th. c......heck, Barre helped out the Swiss with their first Federal coinage.

The Paris mint mark is always an "A". How appropriate; first in the alphabet, the first letter, etc...
I'm probably a minority here, but the French coins are really beautiful. Great designs and I find great executions.

BTW, Berlin was always an A mint mark as well.

I'm probably a minority here, but the French coins are really beautiful. Great designs and I find great executions.
BTW, Berlin was always an A mint mark as well.
