DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE TO FIND 2002 EURO COINS?

I'm looking for large quantities of these and cannot find them to save my life! Any suggestions?

Are you looking for rolls of a specific denomination or country, or do you just want a cracked open vending machine? image

For rolls, UNC and circ, you can find some on ebay though the prices aren't always palatable. Might check some of the mint websites to see if they sell direct, or go to your nearest large bank or airport and try to request a conversion in coin. There are hundreds of websites specifically for euro collectors, in different languages, but most of these type websites have forums for members to discuss trades. Maybe you can find a trustworthy person there who wants large quantities of state quarters?

  • image Visiting Europe is a solution, or knowing some one in Europe or visiting, I was there during 2002 (twice) and all years and countries circulated from1999 to 2002. If you are looking for ones in UNC condition that may take some work. Some e-bayers sell sets though I am not certain they would be 2002. Good luck on the hunt.... image

'02 would appear to be a tough year. It seems a lot of countries minted a lot in the first 3 years (1999-2001), and either had rules limiting the number of additional ones in '02, or they set limits on themselves due to the surplus. I can't find any '02 from France except the 10cent piece, several from the Netherlands, and one from Finland. On the other hand, there ARE some countries I was able to find one or two from.

So I'd say your best bet is to trade with someone in this Forum, or develop a relationship with a reputable trading partner from Europe who travels a lot, as many Euros tend to stay within the larger countries' borders....
