are regrades totally candid?

Hello David!
Thanks very much once again for sharing your time and thoughts.
Maybe I'm over-analyzing this, but here goes my question:
When I send in raw coins I have to write out by hand and put stickers on the flips with the proper invoice number. But when I send in coins for regrade and you break them out, I'm guessing that computer-printed stickers are put on the flips before they enter the Grading Room?
Doesn't that give the graders a BIG heads-up that the coins are actually regrades instead of 'real' raw submissions? And if so, might there be a tendancy of being a little more conservative when grading them?

When in doubt, don't.

Hi Dennis,
Raw coins are sent in to the grading room with a generic flip label that we generate...just like we do for regrades. We do not send the coins into the grading room with your hand written stickers showing.
Thanks,
David
PS...Even if the graders knew it was a regrade, they wouldn't have any way of knowing the original grade. I don't see why they would be either loose or tight in this situation. But it's not how we do it anyway.
