Where's a good place to buy Foreign Gold Bullion online in the US?

Excellent question, I've been wondering the same thing lately....

eBay, but the auctions that have raw canadian or us bullion coins....especially the auctions where the coins have been misshandled. Most of the people there are buying for the numismatic value and steer away from so called "damaged" coins. If you are in it purely for bullion and the intrinsic value of the metal who cares what the coin looks like.

I still enjoy eye appeal, but common dates and honest wear don't bother me. It'd be nice to have a few decent dealers when I get tired of weeding through some of the dreck on eBay. Sometimes I'm in the mood for bidding and others I just want a simple clean transaction with a trustworthy seller....

Usually here LINK (go to the bottom), but it appears that since Hannes had a stroke, no one is replenishing the stock.

    Anyone have one of these:

Buy it from individuals in quantity when possible. image Solicit here or the BST (maybe a ghost bite) and see if anyone has what you seek.

What are you looking for... bulk weight, numi premium, middle ground?

  • I've had a lot of luck with Steinberg's for collector gold coins. They're located in Florida. Give honest descriptions and good coins. Don't know if they do bullion. Their e-address: <info@steinbergs.com>

Rare Coins of New Hampshire has purchased bullion coins for me many times, and sold them with a 1% mark up to me. But bullion is not their business and I don't know if they did that as an accommodation to a good rare coin client, or if they really want the business. The person I deal with there is Jon Rosenthal. His e-address there: <jon@rare-coins.com>

Dillon Gage, in Texas is also very good, but I've fallen out of touch with them and no longer have an e-address for them.

    I hope this helps,

RNCHSN (Ron) posts on the BST board and also has this web site:

    Rons Rare Coins

He seems to have a few Darkside bullion coins, others are listed but as "OUT". Maybe he has some new stuff not posted on the site yet. I know he does eBay auctions as well.

I haven't dealt with him on gold, but I did deal on a couple of silver coins that I thought were nice, and the transaction was easy.

Southlandcoins.com and ajpm.com. These two are usually competitive on the prices and I have taken delivery from both and found them to be reliable and both were friendly and helpful to a small potatos person like me. I have seen a couple other websites that look interesting and that have a fairly wide variety of world gold bullion. There's a thread around here somewhere that has the links from the last few weeks, but I am currently in Not-So-Sunny-Florida paying $10 for 15 minutes worth of internet, so I'll search another time image.
