I moving it fast and furious! I am now only 50+ cards away from
a complete 69 OPC Baseball Set! Then I have to start moving
on up with higher grades as I am currently at 7.22. I still think
thats pretty respectable!
I noticed the forum on the "SHEET CUT" OPC's. I for one will
NOT bid on anything other than PSA as I feel they are good
about catching those that are NOT "FACTORY CUT"
Someone said that they are still great looking cards and if you
can buy them just for what they are, that should be ok...and I could
not agree more.....HOWEVER! $1200+ for a sheet cut 1969 OPC
Willie Mays does not seem like a "good value".
On the other hand, I don't know that the card IS actually sheet cut.
I am not that experienced that I would know the difference, but
I have learned a thing or two buying and selling these cards over
the last 10-15 years. They are not easy to find and especially if
you are looking for NM/MT or better!
I want to wish all good luck and hope you have a FANTASTIC
National if you are attending. Anyone want to let me know
about 1965 and 1969 OPC NM or better and any Kaline stuff
that is Venezuelan, I would appreciate it!
I am very jealous already!

I wonder if you'll have the same issue that I have with '68 OPC (92% graded.) The POPs for the remaining 8% are zero (except Stargell which is a one.) I've sent multiple examples of most, and all came back ungraded due to being short sized. I am incredibly frustrated with PSA as I just want the cards graded "Authentic." A '77 Venezuelan came back "miscut", I sent evidence that all are printed that way, and they regraded as "Authentic." So why not with these '68s? Isn't it odd that five Stargell's, three #2 Yaz's, and multiples of others all came short? Isn't it odd that the Pops for all these are zero, but there's multiple graded for the rest of the set? I've sent scans of different copies of the same player. Lastly, the founder of OPC Central pulled his '68s, and all the ones that PSA refuses to grade were short in his set too.
Wow.
You bought a MINT 9 Aparicio for $36 ?!?!? @%$^*(($(*#$%#$(&&#$*&#@^$#&%(#&%(*%(*&^%(*&^%(&@#^*(&@#^)*& LOL
1968's are obviously tough as well. I am not aware of any "SHORT" cards in the 69 set.
I know some of the 66's also come that way as well.
I think they grade what they are comfortable with. I think they want to apply the usual rules for grading
to ALL cards....including Venz's, OPC's and others. They really don't know how to grade cereal cards in
my opinion. A "GEM MINT 10" "HANDCUT".......now....does that just sound right to you? HA! How is that
possible? I have sent in numerous POST and Jello cards and get the whole gamut of grades. Cards that
were only available from the Company send in, are marked "HAND CUT"....HUH????
I would say that I agree that they could at least mark them "authentic".
I have a number of graded OPC extras including 65, 66, 68, 69 and 72. WANNA TRADE FOR THAT APARICIO?
