First off, they're slightly smaller in size.

Secondly, they're rubber/plastic-coated hardboard front & back - - similar to the "plastic" bonder covers we used to have for school before denim & "trapper-keepers" took over.

Then, instead of tri-folding open with cardboard & holes cut out, they have plastic pages "bound" to the spline.

Finally, the plastic pages resemble plastc 2x2 sheets, except with much smaller sizing, and a flap at the top that you need to open just right to slide the coins under & then lay back in place to "hold" them in & protect from dust, etc.

No way can fit in 2x2's or the like in the dime, etc holders, so the coins can rotate somewhat in their individual "sleeves" - - not quite a uniform look to them.

But they were all that were available on my vacation up to Canada a few years ago, and many Whitman folders for the recent coins are either not made/available, or the coin sizes have changed so as not to fit in any "blank" folders anymore.

I'll still take my Whitmans any day!

If I had a scanner, I'd show you mine. Maybe someone can post a link to a supply outlet's webpage?
