1939 Irish 1/2d low mintage

This was taken from my collection of over 200 Irish coins I have. I am trying to image so more of my Irish collection. This 1939 in uncirculated condition only had a mintage of 240,000 and is made of bronze. As a matter of fact all the farthings, 1/2 pennies and pennies from modern Irish coinage is made of bronze and not copper.

This makes me nostalgic for the complete collection I sold a couple years back.

There's something about those Irish coins I really like; maybe it's the idea of freedom.....nice 1939image
