Farthings 1843 Arabic "1". UNC and certified MS63RB by NGC. Light print on reverse. $85.00 1894 UNC and certified MS62BN by NGC. This coin has a lot of gloss lustre in spite of the "BN" designation, looking almost prooflike. This is a bit of a scarce date in the series. $80.00

Threepences 1870 Toned Uncirculated, certified MS62 by NGC. Beautiful example with die clashing. $100.00 or best offer. 1886 Nearly Uncirculated. Nice strike with the slightest touch of wear. $40.00 1893 Jubilee Head, Jubilee Head, EF but cleaned. Groats 1888 BU full lustre with slight rim toning, certified MS63 by NGC. $145.00
Sixpences 1862 Extremely Fine, but with a large scratch down the face of Victoria. Still, the detail is outstanding. This is one of the very key dates of the series, being surpassed only by 1854. In this grade and better, acquisition of the date is very difficult. $400.00 1880 Well struck uncirculated, well struck. Third young head obverse (1880-1887). Certified MS62 by NGC (missed my 63 estimate, oh well...). $120.00 or best offer. 1954 Very choce BU $8.00
Shillings 1891 Stunning choice uncirculated, certified as MS63 by NGC. This coin has a gorgeous teal rim toning on both sides with red and gold in the center. There is good underlying lustre in the coin, with prooflike reverse fields typical of this series. $150.00
1927 Type II (new reverse, modified effigy). There is a tiny amount of wear at the high points. There are also hairlines from cleaning. The horizontal line below the nose is a digital artifact and not on the coin, but the other marks seen are real. $15.00
Florins 1946 BU Toned Obverse $8.00 1965 BU $4.00 1966 UNC $3.00

Edwardian "Lord's Prayer" medalet, AU50. Undated, probably ca. 1902-1910. Tiny bronze medal, made with suspension loop. Obverse has portrait of Edward VII, similar to that used on his coinage. Possibly from the period when he was Prince of Wales, but more likely made after his coronation. Reverse has tiny inscription of the Lord's Prayer. Designer's initials "J.W.L." below bust. Probably intended for a watch chain. (WCG-069V) $2.00

India (British/British East India Company)
1/4 rupee, 1840 (b), BU (MS63). KM453.1, .917 silver/.0860 oz. Bombay mint. Stunning near-gem example. This sample picture was taken by Darkhorse, of a coin belonging to Syracusian. It does not show the actual coin I am selling here, but it is of a practically identical coin from the same original source. (WCI-004V) $28.00
2 centesimi, 1862-N, F15. KM2.2, copper. Naples mint. Interesting die clash: incuse impression of the wreath from the reverse is visible in the obverse fields below Victor Emmanuel's beard. (WCI-018V) $2.50

1 lira, 1922-R, VF20. KM62, nickel. Rome mint. Seated "Italia" design, reminiscent of ancient Roman coins and later imitators like the US Seated Liberty designs. I've always thought these undervalued. (WCI-024V) $1.25 RESERVED (Bailathacl)
1 lira, 1922-R, EF40. KM62, nickel. Rome mint. Same as above but one grade higher. Catalogs $7.00 EF (2004 Krause). (WCI-025V) $5.00
JAPAN
100 mon, undated (ca. 1835-1870), AU50. KM(C)7.1, cast copper (brass?) Large center hole type. Catalogs $10.00 EF (2nd Edition Krause), unlisted in higher grades. Interesting oval shape with square center hole. Admittedly tough to grade but this one is quite nice and has a brassy color to it. (WCJ-001V) $14.00
100 mon, undated (ca. 1835-1870), F12, some corrosion. KM(C)7.2, cast copper. Small center hole type. Catalogs $10.00 EF (2nd Edition Krause), unlisted in higher grades. Interesting oval shape with square center hole. (WCJ-002V) $5.00
2 sen, Year 15 (1882), EF40. KM(Y)18.2, bronze. Struck during the reign of the Meiji emperor Mutsuhito. (WCJ-003V) $6.00
LIBERIA
10 dollars, (2000), Deep Cameo Proof (PCGS PR69). Millennium/Morgan's Liberty. Apparently unlisted in the 2004 Krause, but this coin has the same Morgan reverse as KM423, which is a copy of the US Morgan dollar obverse. PCGS did not designate it as Deep Cameo (just plain ol' PR69), but it's DCAM all day long, with "black-and-white" contrast. The similar KM423 type lists for $40 in the 2004 Krause (for a raw generic proof). At first glance, it appears to be a DCAM proof Morgan dollar, since PCGS holdered it with the "heads" side forward. (WCL-001V) $34.00
LIBYA
2 piastres, undated (1952), AU50. KM5, copper-nickel. Struck when Libya was a monarchy. Bust of Idris I on the obverse. (WCL-002V) $1.00
LUXEMBOURG

8 reales, 1805-TH, AU (ANACS AU50). Charles IV ("IIII"). Catalogs $100 in EF (2nd Edition Krause), unlisted in higher grades. A truly stunning, bright white example that looks better than the grade. Nicest I've had. (WCM-002V) $125.00
Mexico (Estados Unidos)
1 centavo, 1937, AU55 RB. KM415, bronze. Catalogs $3.50 UNC (2004 Krause). Looks UNC to the naked eye. (WCM-003V) $1.25

NETHERLANDS
Netherlands (Zeeland)
Gold ducat, 1597, ANACS EF45. Nice piece of early-dated hammered gold. Typical soft or uneven strike in places. Rotated dies. Past provenance indicated this coin was salvaged from a shipwreck, but the name of the ship was not given. (New purchase- no inventory number yet) $395.00

1/2 gulden, 1929, VF25. KM160, .720 silver/.1157 oz. Catalogs $2.00 VF/$3.00 EF (2004 Krause). (WCN-008V) $1.50

Philippines (US Commonwealth)
5 centavos, 1941-M, VF20. KM180, copper-nickel. Struck at Manila. Catalogs $2.50 in the 2004 Krause and $3.00 in the 2004 "Redbook" of US coins. (WCP-006V) $1.75
50 centavos, 1944-S, AU50. KM183, .750 silver/.2411 oz. San Francisco mint. Catalogs $3.00 UNC in 2004 Krause, and $4.50 in MS60 in the 2004 Redbook. (WCP-007V) $2.25
POLAND
Ort (1/4 thaler), ca. 1620-1628 (probably 1621 or 1624), F12, partially cleaned. KM39, silver. Obverse: Sigismund III in ruffed collar, with sword and scepter. Last two digits of date are indistinct and mostly unreadable due to poor strike in that area, which is fairly typical on these. This is why Krause has a special column for "No Date" coins. Traces of the final digit in this coin's date look like it might be a "1" or "4". If a 1621, it might be potentially scarce or rare, as Krause only lists dashes (--) in that column. Priced below the Krause (1st Edition) price for a typical "No Date" coin. A fair-sized silver coin with that 17th century look. (WCP-008V) $30.00
10 groszy, 1830-KG, AG3. KM113, .192 silver/.0180 oz. Oberse: crowned double-headed eagle. Reverse: denomination within wreath. (WCP-009V) $1.25
Poland (East Prussia)
3 groschen, 1785-E, AG3. KM(C)21, billon. Konigsberg mint. Obverse: laureate head of Friedrich II. Reverse: crowned flying eagle with orb and scepter. (WCP-009V) $1.50
RUSSIA
Russia (Imperial)
Silver "wire money" kopeck, undated (ca. 1689-1725), VG8, very crudely struck. Czar Pyotr I ("Peter the Great"). Peter the Great modernized Russia and later abolished these crude little silver pieces in favor of more "modern" machine-struck coinage. These are always crude, but this piece is even more primitive than most. Tiny, with an oblong "blob" shape. Think of it as unusual (and cheap!) 300-year-old silver. (WCR-001V) $2.50
Russia (Soviet Union/USSR)
20 kopecks, 1961, BU (MS62). KM(Y)132, copper-nickel-zinc. A souvenir of the old "Evil Empire", from the year before the Cuban Missile Crisis. (WCR-002V) $1.00

SPAIN
Gold half-escudo, 1745-AJ, VG10. KM361.1, .917 gold, .0498 oz. Philip V. Crowned "M" mintmark (Madrid). 1/16 of a "doubloon". Nice little historical gold coin. Past provenance indicated the coin was salvaged from a shipwreck, though this is not particularly noticeable, nor was the name of the wreck given. (WCS-001V) $90.00
5 centimos, 1878-OM, F15. KM674, copper. Catalogs $3.00 VF (2nd Edition Krause). Struck by Oeschger Mesdach & Co. ("OM" mintmark). This coin is VF on the reverse, but the obverse falls barely short of that grade. (WCS-002V) $1.75
2 daler copper "Plate Money", 1750,, F15, counterstamps uneven in places. KM(PM)71. Sweden in the 18th century was poor in silver but rich in copper, so they struck these giant pieces of copper plate money from 1644 to 1775, by stamping large plates of copper with official marks. The coins were designed to hold an equivalent amount of copper to the silver coins they replaced. Plate money was often exported as bullion but actually circulated in Sweden and Finland for more than a century. This piece is from the Nicobar shipwreck, which sank off South Africa on July 11, 1783, while on its way to India. Most plate money on the market today comes from this wreck. The 1750 2-daler pieces like this one are the most common, but still relatively seldom seen. I bought this at the 2004 FUN show in Orlando, and at the time it was the first piece of plate money I had seen in about 12 years. Catalogs $450.00 in Fine and $600.00 in VF (2nd Edition Krause). Comes with a certificate of authenticity from the salvors of the wreck. (WCS-013V) $365.00

DPOTD-3 'Emancipate yourselves from mental slavery'
**WTB** I'm looking for a couple of different things: I need a 1925 Poland gold 20 Zlotych. I'm not sure how hard this will be to find as I've heard conflicting opinions on the availability of this particular coin. I've heard that it was struck strictly as a pattern, but then I also heard that there was a mintage of 27,000.
Also looking for Italian 20 centesimi coins KM# 44. I just LOVE this design. Thanks! ************************ Edited to add: I've determined that there was 27,000 minted and NOT a pattern piece...still looking for one, though!
I almost hate to say anything after my giveaway thread, but I do have some items ending on eBay tonight and Monday night. Please click on my link below.

Past provenance indicated the coin was salvaged from a shipwreck, though this is not particularly noticeable, nor was the name of the wreck given. (WCS-001V) $90.00

Don
I'm looking for a couple of different things:
I need a 1925 Poland gold 20 Zlotych.
Thanks!

Edited to add: I've determined that there was 27,000 minted and NOT a pattern piece...still looking for one, though!
