Would you rather have the higher grade?

So I bought this $20 Saint which is a very rare date in NGC MS65 as its a nice coin. Not pq but nice.....Would PCGS cross it? I think not because of the date.....PCGS has only graded 3 in MS65 or better of the date. My question is would you rather have the NGC graded MS65 or the PCGS graded MS64 which you know is super pq for the grade?

I would choose the pq pcgs coin one grade under a same non-pq ngc coin. Make the example pcgs coin two grades under, and we have a closer comparison, imo, but I may still take the pcgs coin based on considerations of that coin's eventual resale.

Unless the NGC coin is the acclaimed finest known for the date, I would buy the super PQ PCGS coin. If it is indeed the acclaimed finest known [ie: long history of being called the best example], then it's probably worth stepping up.

I agree with TDN.

And I would add that if it the NGC coin is not the acclaimed finest known, then the fact that its in a higher holder means absolutely nothing to me.
