Trade for anderson hernandez is starting to look like a dream. he is tearing it up in AA and now AAA! Maybe our 2nd base woes will be set to rest after the break, kind of reminds me of wright last year they cant keep this guy down much longer.

his stats for your viewing!anderson hernandez

edited to add! nice taking 3 of 4 from the nats! I cant stand there stadium nothing seems to go out and nothing seems to drop.

  • Thanks for the stats. He sounds like just what we need with the big club, but when he's ready.

jersey peter gammons just talked about him tonite saying mets might need to just bring some kids up instead of trading! look at the sucess the braves are having.

then again we are the mets image but this kid seems like jose reyes at 2nd base. hey i know jose is not what we expected so far, but 2nd base is horrible right now! bring him up and bring up diaz to play first!

Speaking of the mets, what do you guys think of Pedro dismissing the all-star game?

His excuse is that he's pitching 2 days before it, but that means he can't even go (even if he tells the manager not to pitch him?)

Seems like he gets a pass cause 'that's Pedro!', but I think he should go.

what he said is does not want to risk anything he is more important to the mets then the allstar game. he has been there before, and he looks forward to the 2nd half of the season and the playoff push.

Id like to see him represent the mets in the allstar game but i agree and im happy with his decision!

BESIDES WE HAVE 2 GUYS MORE THEN WORTHY OF STARTING THERE THIS YEAR LOL!

I see nothing wrong with him not going, and Pedro can often come across as a very selfish player. But, he's pitching Sunday - then he would pitch an inning or so Tuesday in a meaningless exhibition, which would mess up his normal pitching routine. He's better off not going, and staying healthy for the team's second half.

I wasn't saying he necessarily had to pitch.

But at least go with the condition of him not pitching, representing his team and those who voted him in.

I think there's a double standard when it comes to Pedro. What would people say if a less popular player did the same thing?

I think that if a player is voted in, he should go. If necessary, his schedule should be re-arranged.

Pitchers are not voted in........they are selected by the manager and league president.
