Time warp at a convenience store

I'm sure this isn't a new post but I got to thinking the other day when I stopped at a convenience store in Northern Michigan.
The store had on it shelves boxes and boxes of 1986 Topps wax packs, 1989 Topps and 1992 Upper Deck. Granted there very little value in any of it no matter how much they had, but it did make me feel like I had stepped back in time a bit seeing those packs on a shelf like they were new. Too bad they were only twenty years old and not closer to fifty years old, but hey!
Has anyone else had a similar experience? Visiting an out of the way store and seeing old wax still on the shelves. It's kind of a rush for a brief moment.
