Why is it that most of the post on the Sports Talk Forum are about baseball?

I have not spent much time on this forum. However I have posted a few times recently and have noticed that most posts are about baseball. Is this common throughout the year or does it vary with the season (i.e., more football related posts after the World Series is over). If not, why is there so many baseball oriented posts?

I think you answered your own question: It's baseball season and no other major sports are active.

More people collect baseball stuff than any other sport.
