  • Looks like an Ecu coin from the province of Bearn (cow mint mark), C-47.30 in my old 1st ed. Krause, mintage 299,000, $25 in VG.

My first ecu ever, back in my formative years as a Darksider, was a 1766 Bearn coin. It was F-VF. Neat coins.

I've wanted to get into Ecu's-still not comfortable with my knowledge base though.

They're pretty prone to adjustment marks.

I have a counterstamped 1728 on my Holey Coin Vest. (The counterstamp is more modern in style, and says "YMCA". Go figure. Cue the Village People.)
