With two dead-fish political representatives like Hillary Clinton and Mayor Mike (The Grinch) Bloomberg championing NYC's cause....it's no wonder the IOC went thumbs down on the Big Apple's bid.

Hell, I live in Brooklyn and even I would've voted against those two blood-sucking zombies!

    An olympics in NY? Are you nuts? That would have been disasterous, plus cost the city BILLIONS it doesn't have.

    It's just as well.

    Are you sure the buck would stop at the city or would it extend to the nation as well? Why should the rest of the country have to pay for NYC's party?

    I am glad New York City didn't get the Olympics. Holding the Olympics in New York City definitely was not a good idea. I imagine most New Yorkers didn't want it either. England is one of the best friends to the United States and it was good to see them get it.
