Card Values

Is there a publication or site that lists card values & all the different types of cards?? I recently aquired a number of cards for resale (not on ebay) & need to know a little more about them before I list them. There are so many different types that I am lost !! Some are the regular types like I had as a kid and there are others that I have never seen before !! There are Topps Super Star small cards, Topps Stadium Club, Leaf Set Cards,Donruss & Fleer ,Pinnacle,Score Select, Upper Deck & maybe more !! I have only looked at a few !! But I need to do a little research before I list them !! Any Ideas, suggestions, or just advice ?? I know that the graded cards do much better that ungraded ones, but I also know that I cant afford to grade all these !!And I am sure that some of the lesser traded players aren`t worth grading !! But I do not know which players they are , except the more widely known !! Any assistance is appreciated !!!

    good luck or here
    Good for you.
  • Steve, are you asking if any of the cards are Beckett ? I have only looked at a few so I do not know yet and there is another group of cards coming with more popular players in it !! I was told that there is a Nolan Ryan rookie card as well as others but I haven`t seen it yet !! As a general rule I am assuming, from reading members posts, that rookie cards are a little better than the more common ones ? You know, I am at a little disadvantage here being#1. a female and not a collector as many of the people here are, and #2. not having even seen many of these cards since I was a kid in the 50`s ! However, if I had kept all the cards I had back then, I could have probably retired by now !! LOL, I do want to thank everyone here for helping ! You know I live in a part of Texas where it is still possible to find some really great cards in estate sales & such since we are pretty rural !!

Beckett has a guide which lists sets and their individual cards and appoxiamite values.

Beckett is also a card grading company like PSA but not in the same league.

    There is a website..........(easy enough to find.......image)
    Collector of:Baseball
1955 Bowman Raw complete with 90% Ex-NR or better

Now seeking 1949 Eureka Sportstamps...NM condition
Working on '78 Autographed set now 99.9% complete -
Working on '89 Topps autoed set now complete

  • Hey, Thanks, I will try to find the website for Beckett !! More than one opinion of value is always better !!!

    Mart,

Go to Barnes/Noble or any other reputable book store and get the "2005 Standard Catalog of Baseball Cards" 14th edition. This has everything ever known to the baseball card collecting world in it along with ungraded prices. You will be shocked and amazed at just how much material is out there! 1728 pages of info! It's $40. you may wish to search other avenue's of pricing and if you can't locate the item anywhere else this book I've described will cover anything else you might have image

    Good Luck!
