Canadian Large Cent info needed

CladiatorCladiator Posts: 18,073 ✭✭✭✭✭
Hey all,

I've recently become interested in the Canadian Large cent. I don't have the Krause and don't know of any good online resource for info. Any and all help ya'll can give regarding the Canadian Large Cent (all types) would be greatly appreciated. I know there are at least a couple of you that are pretty into these. Thanks!

ps. Figured what the heck I'd make a coin related post, weird seeing one of these huh? lol.

Charlton's Catalogue of Canadian coins is a good start. If you have any specific questions I would be glad to answer them if I can. I'm not sure if there is an online info source.

If you need some online source of large cent varieties you can try this.

    Hope this helps.

Rob (bosox) and I can help, too. Ask away...

The new Charlton catalogues have a section in the back on varieties. I've heard that Charlton is working on a comprehensive catalog on varieties - picking up where Zoell left off in the late 60s early 70s.

Also pickup a copy of the Haxby & Willey Coins of Canada catalogue. Alot of their photos are better (more detail) than those in Charlton.
