Snipe service ??? Need advice..

Hi.

I have finally decided to sign up for this service and am looking for opinions regarding the
different company's that are out there. I would probably only need to set a maximum of 10 snipes per month.

I checked out the E-SNIPE website. They seem pretty solid as they offer a 14 day trial and after that the only time you are charged a fee is if you win the auction. The one issue I was uneasy with was the fact that for obvious reasons you are required to divulge your E-BAY PASSWORD. Has anyone had their Ebay account compromised by forwarding their info to a snipe service?

Look forward to your responses.

Hope you all are having a safe and enjoyable 4th of JULY.image

I second JustSnipe. I've been using it for a while now, and although they did have some issues a couple months back, they have been solid all in all, and you can't complain about the 5 free snipes per week.

BTW, if you are concerned about giving your eBay ID and password, just look for the https:// in front of the URL of the form you are submitting. The "s" is for "secure".
  • I was one of those who procrastinated, but now can't imagine bidding without such a service.

I've been using e-snipe for a while now with absolutely no problems.
  • I use Auction Sniper. www.auctionsniper.com Service has been great. No problems with security.

I use esnipe and justsnipe (both on a critical lot) but just snipe failed a few times in the last month. Esnipe gets expensive, but for the most part it's pretty reliable.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's

I would have to agree with Griffins on esnipe.I use them exclusively and they have never failed me.They have to have your e-bay password in order to place the bids for you but in over two years they have never been compromised.

Please be kind to me. Even though I'm now a former postal employee, I'm still capable of snapping at any time.

The first one I tried -- that is, after I tried watching the seconds tick away with my cursor over the "Commit to Bid" button -- was BidSlammer. Too expensive, 10 cents per bid and then a % if you won, up to $5. It quickly added up if you won a lot of auctions. Also, BidSlammer would sometimes fail due to "network congestion" (as their auto response would say) and their customer service rep was rude and suggested I take my business elsewhere if BidSlammer was not reliable enough for me. I took his advice.

Then I tried JustSnipe's free membership of 5 bids a week. It worked great, so I did the $5 / month unlimited membership. Well worth it. JustSnipe has NEVER failed to execute a bid for me, and costs 1/5th as much as BidSlammer with the number of auctions I bid on. End of commercial.

personally, I use auctionstealer.com - hate the name, since it makes me feel sorta slimy, but oh well - I'm not losing sleep about it. Bids are submitted roughly 10 seconds before the auction's end. Three free snipes a week works for the amount of bidding I do.

    lmao
    Good for you.
  • I used to manually snipe, but realized it was stupid using my limited brain space remembering when auctions ended. went to justsnipe.com and registered (yea giving them your ebay name and password is kinda weird). since i'm a tight arse, and really only snipe the things I really want, the 5 free per week is more than enough for me. I have won many items using the FREE service and it has never failed me yet.

However I did run into a guy whos snipe failed when I picked up my first PSA 7 1936 goudey for SMR. He tried to buy it from me for a tidy profit before I even got it in the mail, but I still have it and now i'm hooked on the 36 Goudeys too!!!
