If they are unsearched, how would he know dates the coins are guaranteed to be from 19xx-19xx. Also the 5 dimes he's selling, he's NOT going to look at them?

That's correct. They go from the plastic bag to the plastic bag they are being sold in. I do not look at dates for fear of selling something good at a rediculously low price.

The dates of the lincolns are published information. As long as they have a wheat stalk on the back is all that matters.
