What about Frank Robinson?
500 homers, close to 3000 hits, .294 lifetime avg, won the mvp in both leagues, triple crown and is now coaching his *ss off in
Washington!
Is there a more underrated HOF'er and manager??
...and who were the bozo's for the reds who traded him for Milt Pappas, Jack Baldschun, and Dick Simpson??????

Certainly Frank Robinson isn't a "household name" but anyone who knows the history of baseball doesn't underrate Frank Robinson. His baseball cards are "underrated" in that they seem to be undervalued in my opinion compared to some other HOFers.

<< <i>Funny you mention it - there's a nice 1965 Topps PSA 8 Robinson on ebay going for double SMR - just the product of two guys duking it out. I agree though, he's underrated.

I wonder if the Nationals success is part of the driving force of this. Tons of money to be spent in DC, and it wouldn't surprise me to see this as part of the driving force.
I think because he was a quiet guy, not flashy, just solid, would keep the values of this true HoFer (unlike that mediocre hack Palmiero) down.
