1952 Topps to PSA/DNA or not??

New guy here.....and one who needs some advice.

I have a '52 Topps card that has been autographed in pencil by Early Wynn. The card itself is in the G-VG range and I am 100% certain of the autograph's authencity. So I was wondering if I should send it to PSA/DNA for encapsulation? I know Wynn is a deceased HOFer, but I don't think his sig is scarce, or, for that matter, very valuable is it? I am likely going to sell it either way, but would obviously like to maximize my profit.

Thanks, David

  • You may maximize the value of the card using PSA/DNA BUT you very well may get more profit by selling raw as is. My guess is you may get $15 for it as is, but PSA/DNA will prob add atleast $30 to your costs, but i'm not sure if anyone will spend $45 for a penciled wynn auto on a g-vg card.
