Coin show results

I attended a show in Clearwater, FL today. The one word I can take from this show was: busy! I don't know how the dealers made out, but I can tell you I was elbowing my way past the elderly patrons left and right image.

The last time I was at this show was 2 years ago. Comparing that show to this one, I'd say the number of tables they had probably increased by about 20%. I heard several dealer comments to that effect.

I used a different strategy this time compared to the few other shows I've ever attended. This time I had specific dealers that I sought out, rather than just browsing most of the tables. They only new dealers I bought from were for a couple of minor proof purchases. I got more than I've shown below, but that's as many photos as I can shoot tonight. image

I got this Florin along with a few others for my Great Britain Florin type set:

GB 1922 Florin KM #817a - looks like it has some old cleaning but otherwise pretty decent

France 1915 1 Franc KM #844.1

British Virgin Islands 1975 50 Cents proof KM# 5 - excuse the pic, I haven't quite mastered the art of shooting proofs

That looks like a nice haul there. You used the same strategy I use at shows. Mine includes beating avarel and farthing to those key tables. image Thanks for posting!

In another momentous twist, this time I actually bought two coins that had to be removed from a glass case. image

Nice coins! How many tables were there at that show?
