OT-First week report on ANA Coin Camp

Just finished my first week at this year's American Numismatic Association 2005 Summer Coin Camp. I took the Spanish Colonial Mexican Coinage course with Richard "Dick" Long which was very fascinating as well as informative. We covered the period from 1536 when the first coin in the Americas was struck in the home of Fernando Cortes in Mexico City, under the reign of Emperors Carlos I and Johanna through the rule of Ferdinand VII which ended with the War for Independence in 1822. I have a whole new respect for Mexican coinage and may even see if I can put together a type set. The only other board member I have seen out here is Cameron Kiefer who was one of the instructors in the Coin Grading class. I'm sure there are others that I just don't know by their non-screen names. I have been attending these "coin camps" for five years now, and HIGHLY recommend them to anyone interested in expanding their store of numismatic knowledge

Wait, who am I fooling. I always have to work during the summer.
Well, anyway, it sounds both fun AND educational, and how often do you get the two of those together these days?

We bought a house, and I suspect I'll be up there before the end of the year, but don't know exactly when.....
