My first ancient....

Not really ancient......1533 Hungarian Denar.... I liked the look and thought the price was good. I also thought the condition was really good. Not my pictures.

Thanks for the props--I picked it up for $25. I'm slowly getting into older (pre-1700) and ancient coins. The learning curve is a big one though. So I'll stick to low-mid priced coins from dealers until I get more knowledge. I know one thing for sure though--I'm in the right place to learn and get advice.

You gotta love those old denars. Cheap, early silver. When I was a young collector, my first coin from before 1700 was a 1615 Hungarian denar.
