Interesting toning on an MS68 Mercury Dime...

What do you suppose caused it to look this way:

MS68 1945-S 10C

That's a neat pattern on the reverse.

I really like those. I was told there was a bank promotion. The cardboard holder had an open area where the fasces are which caused the toning to be like that. A group of them, all 1945-S, went to NGC and many came back in MS 67 and MS 68 holders. They stay in those holders because it looks like the grade was bumped due to the nice color. Here is an image of the reverse of one I currently have.
