    Looks nice.

These are not extremely unusual in PL but I don't know what it takes to get the designation.

I checked the NGC Census for the population of 1996-W PL dimes but it does not list the pops for the ones given the PL or prooflike designation. How many PL ones have you seen graded by NGC? Thanks.

I don't keep up with such things but judging by the low numbers of all dates that get the designation they
must have very high standards. The '96-W is about the same difficulty of finding in PL as the other dimes
of this era or perhaps slightly easier. About .5 to 1% of mint sets dimes from the '87 to '98 era will show
a significant degree of PL. Early mint set dimes are much more variable. Most of these either don't appear
as circulation issues or are excessively rare*.

*Perhaps some weren't rare as issued but these coins simply were not saved so they are rare now. In any
case, many were not seen when issued either.
