I just saw the promo on the NBC nightly news.

-An average of $80,000 per minute trades hands
-Half of the eBay users are outside the US
    -37% are in Europe
-China is the fastest growing market, with 20,000 new users per day

I won't bother watching the broadcast, I already know everything about eBay that I want to

Of course China will be the largest market. Why would anyone disagree with that?

Just as Lowes in Hong Kong is larger than anything you can imagine in the US. Look at who it's servicing.

We are seeing a monumental change with almost 3 BILLION Asians ( India, China, Vietnam, etc) beginning to think "freedom" and "free market" and "capitalism". You have to see the changes in China and Vietnam ( I haven't been in or lived in India so I can't comment) to believe it and it's wonderful.

    Why, is there a problem?

Remember it's not how you pick your nose that matters, it's where you put the boogers.

  • I almost bought at 29.00 back in 2001 ibz. P/E was like 50 though so I figured it would be a bad buy. Now it's what, 60.00 and it's split since then? Go figure. I learned PE isn't everything lol.
I heard they were making a French version of Medal of Honor. I wonder how many hotkeys it'll have for "surrender."

All these eBay id's are from one (1) Chinese scam artist. I haven't checked on him lately so I'm sure he has more.

Given the wages in China, I fail to see how they represent much of a market, but what do I know (I'm sure I'll be told very little image)

When I lived in Vietnam ( late 2000-late2002) I read somewhere that the median income was 300 bucks a year. I could never quite figure out how in the world Vietnamese paid for houses in gold, and that almost 20% of the motorcycles on the road in Saigon were new Honda Dreams or similar ( 3,000.00 and it's all cash, no leases or financing).

In China, I was amazed at all the property being bought and sold for cash. And when you see a mercedes ( oh yes they are on the roads) you realize the guy who owns that paid cash.

The more intrusive the government became in Asia, the more the people used survival tactics to protect their assetts.

That's not to say there isn't a lot of poverty. There is. But with 1.3 BILLION Chinese all interested in making a buck in what's essentially a cash society, it's becoming quite a sight to see.

It's like any other market. There are markets which are up and coming, and there's markets which are over priced and ready for a downward trend.
