Gotta love these auction pictures...

Check out these "MS65" steel cents. Seller is claiming them as MS65 Uncirculated.

And I thought slabs were good coin protectors, I think this seller may be on to something...

    The sad part is I think these decent looking cents were ruined just so the seller could attach them to cardboard to take a picture? Why not just lay it flat on the table??? image

    They are probably reprocessed steel cents so I doubt the tape hurts them all that much.

    They're not taped to the cardboard. The cents are lying on top of the tape and cardboard.

    Thats exactly what the seller is doing, although its no better for the coins than if he/she just taped over them. I would hate to see those coins in another 5 years after all the dust and dirt and crap gets stuck to the tape residue. Such a waste just to photo the coins upright dont you think? I wonder why the seller went through all this instead of just photographing them flat on a table.
