Just finished updating my entire collection. What do you think of the format? You can rip the collection to pieces too if you would like. image

I think that is incredibly great!

The format is perfect, I like the notes, the gallery pictures that link to large pictures and then to the pops.

It completely blows the PCGS Registry away! I think I'll have to go update my sets over there. I wish it would support ANACS and raw as well - not for the Registry but for the display.

And you've got some great coins too!

A thing of beauty is a joy for ever
  • That is a great presentation, and some great coins. The 1830 and 1833 H10C are beautiful.

I really believe the NGC registry to be a useful presentation format for a collection. I might have to take use of it especially after seeing coinlieutentant's work.

I too think it blows the PCGS registry away. More flexible with both services allowed is the key thing.

I think PCGS on average has the better coins in their holders, but that is a generality, not a rule.

Great stuff! It is a nice display. I wonder if you can hotlink to the pictures? Let me try...

If you see a coin above, you can. If you see a little red X, you can't.

You have a good start on the Bust Half series. Now how about starting to collect by Overton variety?
I collect Capped Bust series by variety in PCGS AU/MS grades.

I display over there as well. I particularly like the ability to do separate obverse and reverse images. However, I was a bit peeved to figure out there was an unwritten rule that to win a best set award you had to have at least 50% NGC in your set. Mind you, that makes sense since they are the ones putting on the show - but they should have been up front and open about it.

They told you that was a requirement after the fact?

Oh bo ho-- TDN won't take 1/2 his PCGS seated lib.'s, get a 1 or 2 point upgrade, and have the set go up a million in value! They're just looking out for everyone's best financial interest at NGC! Poor Eliasberg, Clapp, Carter and Miss Norweb--they didn't have these expert's advice and rules "guiding" them to "best set" success and big profits...image

I post my collection over there to share with all. I really have no hope to ever be a top set point wise, but if you want to give points for eye appeal then I'm right there with you.image

I really don't like the interface of the NGC registry... it feels awkward and clumsy to me... the look of their Registry is nice... I just don't like the interface...
