Sting, I didn't know you had a Dick Shiner.

And to think I'm looking at a picture of it is pretty bad.

<< <i>OK, Shawon Dunston, formerly of the Cubs got his first name by mistake. His mother wanted to name him Shawn but mispelled it, from what I hear.

We now have another attempt at an unconventional spelling that does not work.

Shone Figgins, Nationals(?). One would think his name ends in a long "e", or just rhymes with scone. But of course his name is pronounced Shawn.

Packers RB Ahman Green was named after Ahmad Rashad.

Had to get Boobie in here... And also mention that my third-grade art teacher's name was Mrs. Butt. To make matters worse, she was not at all svelte. I tell ya, it takes real guts to walk into a classroom full of third-graders and announce, "My name is Mrs. Butt."

I was just checking out the day's soccer headlines when this article caught my eye. I had to alter the text to get it by CU's filters.

    Sh!ttu joins Watford

"Watford manager Aidy Boothroyd has hailed the 'hunger' of new signing Danny Sh!ttu after the defender completed his move from Queens Park Rangers. The Hornets secured the 25-year-old's signature after agreeing an initial £1.6million fee, potentially rising to £3m, with the Hoops."

I guess the guy's Nigerian, but I'd imagine that word's virtually universal. I think a name change is long overdue.

Hey! I thought this thread had been deleted! Cool! I had searched for it but ended up reviving MudFlap's haiku thread. Now that I read this one again, I see Stone had already listed Fair Hooker, the one I had posted a picture and verse about...

Not sure on that, but the San Diego Chargers used to have a defensive lineman named John Woodc**k.
