1990 Topps Foil-Test Cards

they are on the 1990 glossy rookie inserts. Topps first regular issue foil stamping was on the 1991 desert shield overprints.

i bought a set of these in 1995 from george kruk.

the foil strips across the cards came in different colors and on different parts of the card.

has anybody else ever seen them ??

Never saw them before but I can see why they werent produced. Kinda weird just to have a stip of foil under a players chin or across his groin.

these cards were never put out for sale by topps. nor were they intented to be.

these were leftover cards at the topps factory. Topps was just testing the foil on cards for opacity, adherence, and other qualities.

this is truly a test issue !!
